We trained for months to suffer for 90 minutes. We ended up suffering for 92.
That was the plan.
Me and my brother, Chandeep Chhabra, committed to a shared goal: to finish our first HYROX race like champs.
Our training? Brutally boring.
- 2–3 days a week of HYROX-style circuits
- 2 days of CrossFit and heavy strength work
- A few long runs tossed in
- Repeat.
No shortcuts.
No hacks.
No magic formulas.
Just honest, consistent work.
And when race day came, we gave it everything.
But we didn’t crush our goal.
We missed it—by two minutes.
Oddly enough… it didn’t feel like a miss.
Why? Because proof of work changes you.
When you put in real, unfiltered effort—there’s no such thing as failure.
You walk away stronger.
Mentally clearer.
More resilient.
And that’s when I realized: that’s exactly how I started to understand Bitcoin.
People think Bitcoin is about luck.
Timing.
Getting in early.
Getting out richer.
But stay in the ecosystem long enough, and you’ll notice the truth:
Like training, Bitcoin doesn’t reward hype.
It doesn’t promise overnight success.
It doesn’t flatter you with fake gains.
What it rewards is something far more valuable:
Honesty.
Effort.
Time.
All the things fiat systems tend to punish.
HYROX taught me to run under fatigue.
Bitcoin taught me to think under pressure.
One builds your body.
The other builds your financial immune system.
Both demand consistency.
Both demand proof of work.
And both, if you commit, make sure you finish stronger than you started.
